Plot Summary: Jimmy and Kim are working hard in their respective ways, but one is taking on various cases during the day, and the other is selling disposable phones at night. Their uncoordinated lives make them drift further apart, and they speak less and less. Even after Kim's arm cast was finally removed, they didn't celebrate together. Kim's awards increased, while Jimmy's only increased his detention records. Jimmy dared not tell Kim that he was in the dirty business of selling untraceable disposable phones to criminals. However, he never forgot his original intention and found a cheap and practical office as a location for opening a law firm with Kim a month later. One night, Kim took Jimmy to a company party and introduced him to her colleagues. It was also Jimmy's first time seeing Kim's office, where the furnishings and decor were obviously much better than the office he found, giving rise to a sense of inferiority. At the party, the cheerful Jimmy got along well with others, and his talkativeness clearly stole the show from the boss, Rich. Kim noticed the boss's sullen face but couldn't stop Jimmy in public. In the following days, Jimmy continued his small business, just waiting to get his lawyer's license back a month later. For safety, he also recruited the big black man Huell to help. One day, Huell went to buy a burger, and Jimmy waited on the street for customers. A car stopped, and Jimmy could smell the police on the other person without them speaking. The plainclothes police, seeing that they had been exposed, explained the reason. Yesterday, a drug dealer shot in the neighborhood had a disposable phone sold by Jimmy found on him, and the officer asked Jimmy to find a storefront and sell the phones to law-abiding citizens. Jimmy didn't buy it; the advantage of disposable phones is that they are untraceable, and only in such neighborhoods would there be a large number of customers. Just as the two sides were arguing, Huell, wearing headphones, appeared, carrying a paper bag containing burgers. The music made Huell unable to hear Jimmy's warning, and he picked up the paper bag and smashed it. Well, Huell was arrested for assaulting a police officer and faced two and a half years of criminal charges. Upon receiving the indictment, Huell's first thought was to escape. In desperation, Jimmy came to Kim's law firm and told her the truth. The current problem is that three years ago, Huell was arrested for shoplifting by the same police officer, and the prosecution believes Huell intentionally assaulted the police in retaliation. Jimmy has a countermeasure in mind; he found that the officer had problems with alcoholism and anger management and could provoke the officer in court to get Huell out of jail. But Kim firmly disagreed with such underhanded tactics. She carefully studied the case and relevant regulations and also found that the prosecutor in charge of the case, Suzanne, had handled five assault cases against police officers, and all the defendants were released with misdemeanors, none serving time. When Kim went to court to discuss reducing Huell's sentence with Suzanne, Suzanne flatly refused. Even though in previous assault cases, police officers were beaten bloody, and in this case, the officer was only hit by a burger, Suzanne insisted on a heavy sentence, citing Huell's previous record. Since they couldn't reach an agreement, they had to find another way. Kim came out of the court and told Jimmy to make sure Huell didn't jump bail and that Jimmy shouldn't make any small moves, as she had already thought of a good idea. Tunnel excavation work was proceeding systematically under Mike's strict supervision. However, a slight oversight occurred when a pillar in the tunnel was accidentally knocked down by a forklift, and the construction period had to be extended. Due to long hours of working at night and living in darkness, the workers from Germany became restless and anxious, especially Kai. Mike considered project safety and planned to send Kai back to Germany. But Kai was Werner's best demolition expert, irreplaceable. Werner felt that the workers needed rest and relaxation, preferably a break outside. This request made Mike somewhat hesitant, wondering if anything could go wrong. On the other side, Dr. Maureen reported Hector's recovery to Gustavo. Hector had regained consciousness and still had physical disabilities, but with time he should regain motor function. However, Gustavo was more concerned about his mental recovery. From the video Maureen shot, he noticed details that even Maureen hadn't. Hector used his only movable finger to knock over the paper cup of water on the small table, and while the nurse was wiping him, the old man's eyes were lustfully staring at the nurse's chest and buttocks. This was the Hector Gustavo knew; it seemed his recovery was too good, and it was necessary to change his attending physician.
