Plot Summary:From the moment she joined Howard and Charles' law firm as a mailroom clerk, Kim exhibited immense ambition. She knew every case Charles handled inside and out, unlike the often jovial Jimmy. It was Kim's drive that inspired Jimmy to pick up law books and embark on the path to becoming a lawyer. Now, Kim is still busy with various lawsuits for Mesa Verde Bank, but her heart remains with those who need her help more. In her view, being a public defender and handling pro bono cases is a lawyer's true duty, not just profiting for big banks. By the time she finishes dealing with piles of documents, it's late at night, and Jimmy is already sound asleep. Waking up in the morning, Kim again mentions seeing a therapist. Seeing that Jimmy decides not to go, she doesn't insist further. Jimmy eats breakfast and goes to his shop. Out of boredom, he sketches a design for the sign of the law firm he plans to open with Kim in the future and inquires about the production cost. Just then, he receives a call from Brett, Geraldine's nephew. Geraldine had been a great help in the class-action lawsuit at Sandpiper Crossing, and Jimmy had even drafted her will. A few weeks ago, Geraldine passed away in her sleep, and Brett called to clarify the intricate details of the will. Thinking of Geraldine's passing, Jimmy feels a pang of sadness. But since he doesn't have a law license, he can only refer Brett to Howard's firm. Right after hanging up with Brett, Kim calls. Jimmy rushes to the restaurant she mentioned, where Kim announces an important decision. Kim had just visited Schweikart & Cokely, convincing Rich, the head partner, to open a banking department. Kim will be a partner, responsible for its operations. She plans to drop Mesa Verde Bank's business and dedicate more time to pro bono cases. This way, she'll have a stable income and free time, no longer restricted by Mesa Verde Bank. However, this also means that even if Jimmy gets his license back, their dream of opening a law firm together won't come true. Since Kim has made up her mind, Jimmy will fully support her. But Jimmy also doesn't want to continue idling in the shop. He goes to Howard's office, urgently needing the five thousand dollars from the will's execution. Walking through the office, many seats are empty. It seems Howard is also having a tough time paying Charles's compensation. After getting the money, Jimmy buys hundreds of cell phones and stockpiles them in the small, unrented office behind the nail salon. In the evening, he goes to the street and finds the three thugs who robbed him last time. Jimmy initially offers them a hundred dollars a day for peace, but they don't understand long-term profit and just want a one-time score. Since they can't agree, Jimmy has to find two friends to teach them a lesson. Mike isn't idle either. Gus Fring has built two bungalows in the warehouse for expert Werner and his workers. Because the project is too dangerous, Mike's safety advice is needed. Mike surveys the area, noting the need to prevent outsiders from entering and insiders from leaving to ensure no leaks occur during the tunnel excavation. Gus takes Mike's suggestions very seriously, placing various entertainment facilities around the bungalows and implementing comprehensive internal and external surveillance. Mike is assigned the monitoring task, with Gus also assigning his subordinate, Stacey, to assist. Werner brings his people into the warehouse as agreed. Except for a person named Kai, who ignores Mike, the others are cooperative. Mike passes through the double-door access control system at the entrance and exit to the RV outside the warehouse, which serves as the 24-hour monitoring center. He instructs Stacey to keep a close eye on Kai.
