Plot Summary:Kim, with a cast on her right foot and supported by crutches, hobbles into the building safety department of the Lubbock Municipal Building in Texas. Mesa Verde Bank plans to open a branch in the city, and the architectural drawings have been filed with the department. Her purpose is to compare the law firm's drawings with the filed drawings to ensure consistency, as discrepancies would cause major problems. The staff, seeing her difficulty, enthusiastically help her retrieve and compare the documents. Kim breathes a sigh of relief when everything checks out. At this moment, Jimmy appears with a backpack and a baby bottle in hand. He's Kim's older brother, driving her around and looking after her eight-month-old nephew. Seeing Jimmy, Kim exclaims that he shouldn't leave the baby alone in the car. The staff are also concerned, completely missing Jimmy casually placing the baby bottle on the blueprints. When Kim returns from the parking lot, the staff are frantically cleaning up spilled milk from the desk. The filed blueprints are soaked, and some content is blurry. Kim cries, realizing months of work are wasted. Fearing responsibility for negligence, a staff member offers to replace the soaked filed blueprints with the ones Kim brought, as they had just been verified. Grateful, Kim pulls out the blueprints from her bag, but they are not the original set. Kim and Jimmy pulled a trick that gave Mesa Verde Bank an extra 13% usable area without needing re-approval. Jimmy enjoys the process, and Kim doesn't feel guilty. However, Kim believes such trickery must be for a good cause. A year after his law license was revoked, Jimmy puts on a suit and carries a briefcase again, heading to the Department of Justice for his reinstatement hearing. Before the hearing committee, Jimmy tearfully expresses remorse for his past actions. The hearing concludes, and the decision will arrive in a few days. Eager for the result, Jimmy waits outside a small conference room for the clerk. He knows the clerk will know the result immediately and print it as a written document. Seeing the clerk's embarrassed expression, Jimmy knows it's over. He catches up with a committee member, wanting to know why such a decision was made. The answer makes him more desperate: a committee member thought he wasn't sincere enough. With such a reason, there's no chance for an appeal theory; he can only wait another year. This outcome infuriates Jimmy. He tries to control his emotions and tells Kim about the hearing. The process was actually quite smooth, and Jimmy felt he answered every question appropriately. Kim, however, discovers the key reason: Jimmy didn't mention his brother Charles at all. Most committee members were Charles's juniors and held him in high regard. Jimmy's disregard for his brother Charles disappointed the committee greatly. Jimmy is furious at this. He doesn't want to mention Charles anymore and no longer needs Kim's help. As soon as he said this, Jimmy regretted it, but couldn't take it back. After calming down, Kim still decides to help him get his license back. Lalo and Nacho visit the nursing home where Hector, only able to move his right index finger, is recovering. Nacho can tell that Lalo is just as ruthless as Hector. He can't hear what Lalo is saying to Hector, but seeing Hector repeatedly tapping his index finger in agreement, he knows they are definitely planning revenge against their rivals. Lalo and Nacho then go to Gus Fring's fried chicken restaurant. Lalo is very polite to Gus, considering Gus's rescue of Hector despite their past enmity a kind gesture. He then changes his tone, trying to stir up trouble between Eladio and Gus, blaming all the hatred between them on Eladio's balancing act. Gus doesn't fall for it, gives a few vague responses, and then sends Lalo away. Gus's underground project also reaches a critical point, nearly having an accident during the final blasting. Werner takes a life-threatening risk to check the wiring and troubleshoot the problem, finally blowing up the massive rock blocking the way. The blasting is successful, clearing the rock without damaging the main tunnel structure, but Werner is still unhappy. In four months, it will be his 26th wedding anniversary, and after being away for so long, he wants to go back to Germany to see his wife. Old Mike understands Werner's feelings but cannot grant his request, only agreeing to give him a chance to call his wife. After talking to his wife, Werner seems much more relaxed, which Mike notices and is relieved by. But the next evening, when Old Mike walks into the surveillance room outside the factory, preparing to start the night's excavation work, he notices that several surveillance screens are acting strangely. Several red and green dots appear on the screens, like missing pixels. In Old Mike's experience, someone has re-recorded the surveillance footage and hijacked the signal. Indeed, Werner's room is empty, and the small door leading to the roof has been pried open. Werner has escaped.
