Plot Summary:Jimmy is now responsible for client outreach, but finds that his legal letters to seniors often go unanswered, with only a few responses. It could be that the seniors don't understand the legal jargon in the letters, or that the staff at Sandpiper Crossing are obstructing his efforts. Whatever the reason, Jimmy needs to find a solution. This time, Jimmy receives a reply from Mrs. Alma at Sandpiper Crossing retirement home in Amarillo, Texas, the only response out of hundreds of legal letters. Due to staff obstruction, Jimmy is unable to visit the facility. So he bribes a driver and waits for the seniors on their way out for a meal. Once in the car, Jimmy uses a gentle tone, simple language, and occasional jokes to inform Alma and the other seniors on the bus about their situation. In just a few minutes, he gains over twenty new clients. At a regular joint meeting, Clifford highly praises Jimmy's work, having brought in over two hundred clients in just three weeks. Jimmy is currently looking for clients in the Southwest, such as Phoenix and Colorado Springs, aiming to sign another two hundred by the end of the month. If successful, they will reach the required number of plaintiffs for class action lawsuits in various districts. His achievements are acknowledged by Clifford and Howard, but Charles, who is also present, raises concerns. Taking the Texas trip as an example, only Mrs. Alma replied to the letter, yet Jimmy signed up over twenty clients, which might lead defense attorneys to suspect solicitation. Charles's doubts seem far-fetched, and Howard tries to speak up for Jimmy but is stopped by Charles. Jimmy has to explain that the twenty-odd seniors, after hearing his explanation to Alma, voluntarily requested to sign the power of attorney, and there was no solicitation involved. Of course, to completely eliminate such concerns and prevent defense attorneys from finding loopholes, Jimmy promises not to use similar methods and to find other ways to gain the seniors' support. Jimmy's job was secured by Kim vouching for him, so every move Jimmy makes affects Kim's future. Thus, Jimmy ponders deeply and finally comes up with a new idea: television commercials. Jimmy has been dealing with the seniors at Sandpiper Crossing for several months and knows they have a fixed routine, watching TV dramas every day between three and four in the afternoon. By inserting commercials between the dramas, he can achieve the same effect as a meeting. He tells Clifford about his idea, but Clifford is in a hurry for a business trip and has no time to discuss it in detail. Furthermore, the Davis & Main law firm had previously run commercials for a class action lawsuit involving mesothelioma caused by asbestos inhalation a few years ago, with little success, so Clifford is not optimistic about Jimmy's idea and plans to discuss it after returning from his business trip next week. Jimmy digs out the commercial Clifford mentioned and immediately understands the reason for its ineffectiveness. The entire commercial is like a legal document, with only text and narration, and the words are mixed with legal and medical jargon, which no one is interested in watching. He again contacts film students from the state university and decides to shoot a commercial himself, with Mrs. Strauss, the first person who asked him to draft a will, starring as the main character. The old-fashioned black and white film style, coupled with Mrs. Strauss's melancholic expression and narration, plus a tear rolling down her cheek, is extremely poignant. The commercial concludes with the Davis & Main law firm logo and phone number, believing that seniors will definitely want to know what's wrong with their pensions after watching it. After filming, Jimmy even asks Kim to review it in his apartment. Kim is surprised that Jimmy could produce such a professional commercial without violating any bar association regulations. Now, only Clifford and his partners need to agree before it can be released to the media. However, Clifford won't be back until next week, and Jimmy, restless, stares at the videotape on his desk, deciding to test it out in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to see the effect. After the commercial airs, the results are extraordinary. In just over ten minutes, the law firm's phone is flooded with calls, and all assistant attorneys are busy registering the names and addresses of seniors requesting to file cases. There are nearly two hundred calls in one afternoon, and seniors continue to call for consultations afterward. Jimmy, triumphant in his first battle, cannot contain his joy and wants to share it with Kim. But he receives a call from Clifford, who is very angry on the phone, giving Jimmy a vague sense of foreboding.
