Plot Summary:The U.S.-Mexico border is as congested as ever. On the U.S. side, inspectors are checking suspicious vehicles, including a refrigerated truck from a dessert shop. Inspectors check the driver's ID, inspect the chassis and cab, and a drug dog sniffs. Even samples of the goods in the refrigerated compartment are taken out and put through an X-ray machine. After no problems are found, the refrigerated truck is allowed to pass. It's almost midnight when the truck arrives at the dessert shop. As soon as the goods are unloaded, the shop closes. A short while later, Tuco's uncle, Hector, drives up and goes into the dessert shop's warehouse to inspect the merchandise. Old Mike observes this entire process. Discovering Hector's drug money trail is not only because Stacey is interested in an apartment that costs a lot of money, but also because Old Mike will never allow anyone to threaten his granddaughter, and Hector must pay the price. What Jimmy has been waiting for finally arrives: Kim officially submits her resignation to Howard. Howard had already heard rumors that Kim would resign and join Rich. But he didn't expect Kim to be starting her own law firm, and a hint of surprise flashed across his face before he quickly returned to normal. He remembered that when he first graduated from law school, he also thought about starting from scratch. But later, he followed his father's advice and worked at his father's law firm. He later took over his father's law firm and continued to cooperate with Charles, who was his father's contemporary, to this day. His ambition from back then has gradually faded. Now, seeing Kim's resignation, Howard admires her courage and charisma. Howard exempts Kim from her loan debt at the firm, considering it an opening gift. Leaving Howard's office, Kim rushes back to her own office. Before moving her personal belongings, she needs to call Paige. At noon, Kim meets with Pepper and Kevin at a restaurant. Kim promises to tailor legal strategies specifically for Mesa Verde Bank, rather than the package-like service offered by Hamlin, Hamlin & McGill. And as their sole client, Kim will dedicate all her energy and time to providing service. Kim's words are very convincing, and Kevin decides to entrust her with the legal work related to banking business. She joyfully rushes to see Jimmy, who has found an office space with two independent offices sharing a large hall, which perfectly meets Kim's requirement for two law firms under one roof. All this seems to herald a good start. Because Mesa Verde Bank notifies them of a change in their consulting attorney, Howard沮丧地来到查尔斯家,亲口通知查尔斯这个不幸的消息。 Losing Mesa Verde Bank's account is a major blow to Kim. Seeing Kim's disappointed expression, Jimmy knows it must be Charles's doing. Mesa Verde Bank was a client Kim worked hard to acquire, but Howard didn't reward Kim for it. Now that Hamlin, Hamlin & McGill is using its power to bully and steal clients, Jimmy feels a surge of anger. In the middle of the night, he goes to Charles's house. Charles is exhausted from being outdoors for too long that afternoon and is sound asleep on the sofa. Ernesto, the associate attorney sent by the firm to take care of Charles's daily life, waits until Jimmy arrives. Ernesto and Jimmy were good friends when Ernesto worked in the mailroom, so when Jimmy tells him to go home and rest, Ernesto leaves without worry. Jimmy's purpose is not to take care of Charles, but the two boxes of Mesa Verde Bank documents inside. These are a stack of files for new branches. He quickly flips through them, extracts all papers with the new branch address printed on them. Then he goes to a 24-hour print shop and uses a knife and glue to change the house number 1261 on the address to 1216. After making copies again, Jimmy keeps the original and inserts the altered copies into the stack of documents.
