Plot Summary:Lalo doesn't believe Gustavo's lies, but can't figure out what Gustavo is really doing. He visits his uncle Hector in the nursing home and tells him that Gustavo might be digging tunnels and building a lab, but old Hector shows no reaction. However, when Lalo mentions that Gustavo will make money, Hector's only movable right index finger frantically presses the bell next to him. Lalo understands immediately: there's no need to consider what Gustavo is doing; just preventing him from making money will make him lose Eladio's protection. Lalo is plotting against Gustavo, and Gustavo, in turn, is looking for trouble with Lalo. Gustavo has the best tool: Nacho, who is close to Lalo. Nacho has leverage held by Gustavo, and his family is threatened, so he has to agree to monitor Lalo's every move. But to learn more, he needs to gain Lalo's trust, which greatly worries Nacho. Unexpectedly, Jimmy inadvertently helps a great deal. Early in the morning, Jimmy's phone rings non-stop. His reputation is growing, and he has 46 clients simultaneously. Once he makes money, his wish is to buy a detached house and live there with Kim. To make money faster, the key is to avoid going to court and dealing with tedious trial procedures. Jimmy tries various methods to reach plea bargains with the D.A.'s office. The D.A. officials also don't want to spend too much time on minor cases, so Jimmy's tricks often work. But Jimmy encounters a tough nut to crack: Assistant District Attorney Suzanne. Suzanne sees through Jimmy's tactics and firmly refuses to agree to a deal. Jimmy is anxious; a dozen of his clients' cases are in Suzanne's hands, and individually trying them would take forever to get paid. So, Jimmy finds an opportunity to ride an elevator alone with Suzanne, and coincidentally, the elevator breaks down, trapping them. Suzanne quickly takes out files to review. Jimmy, however, babbles his defense arguments, annoying Suzanne. Suzanne stops wasting time and simply goes over the cases with Jimmy in the elevator, negotiating a mutually satisfactory solution. After thirty minutes, the repairman fixes the elevator, and by then, most of the cases are resolved. Jimmy emerges from the elevator, enthusiastically bidding Suzanne farewell, then turns and slips a wad of cash to the repairman, promising to help his brother win a lawsuit. In reality, the surge in minor cases during this period is due to Jimmy's discount promotion. Many petty criminals steal and pilfer with impunity; as long as they don't use weapons or harm anyone, it falls under the 'non-violent crime' 50% off category. Two of these criminals steal money to buy drugs, get high, and then steal again. This time, they stole a lot of money and wanted to buy ten packs at once. However, the downspout at the Fourth Street distribution point was old and poorly maintained, and the ten packs got stuck inside. Several people gathered in a corner late at night to fix the downspout, naturally attracting the attention of patrolling police. The others scattered, but Domingo, who was on the ladder fixing the pipe, was caught. Ten packs of drugs were found in the downspout, and the police immediately dispatched an emergency team for a thorough search. Those guys were only focused on escaping and didn't even take the goods from the second floor, fearing everything would be seized by the police. Lalo was anxious, and Nacho, taking a desperate gamble, climbed over walls and ladders, entering the room through a skylight on the roof. He retrieved all the drugs before the police broke down the door. Lalo was delighted, looked at Nacho with new respect, and entrusted him with important tasks. But Lalo worried that if Domingo was arrested, he might tell the police things he shouldn't. Nacho and Domingo had been friends for years, and even if Nacho vouched for Domingo, it wouldn't reassure Lalo. If Domingo went to prison, his life would certainly be in danger. To save his friend's life, Nacho thought of Jimmy, who always had the most cunning ideas.
