Plot Summary:While investigating the Sandpiper Crossing retirement home, Jimmy discovers it's charging exorbitant fees to seniors through fine print in contracts (e.g., $14 for a box of tissues, $22 for a bottle of aspirin). The nursing home is part of a real estate trust and may be involved in systemic fraud. Jimmy is blocked while trying to collect evidence, witnesses staff destroying contracts, and then hides in a restroom to issue a cease and desist letter. At night, he rummages through trash bins to retrieve shredded documents, only to be threatened by the opposing law firm with "sanctions for frivolous litigation." Chuck helps piece together the shredded files, and they discover the nursing home is also involved in illegal cross-district procurement of syringes. Jimmy uses Kim to access Chuck's resources for case precedents, but Chuck is bound by an agreement not to handle major cases. During negotiations, the opposing party offers a $100,000 settlement. A silent Chuck suddenly speaks up, demanding $20 million. Chuck, focused on work, even forgets his "electromagnetic hypersensitivity" and walks into the sun to retrieve files without experiencing symptoms.
